Crowdfunding Campaign: Find Your Purpose Using Science

Series: Find Your Purpose

Written by Dr. Gleb Tsipursky, Intentional Insights Co-Founder and President.

I remember those miserable nights when I was younger, kept awake by the sense of meaninglessness as that void in the depth of my stomach. Have you ever felt that kind of emptiness deep in the pit of your stomach that you just can’t make go away? I'd like to help you by sharing some science-based strategies to find a rich sense of meaning and purpose in life.

My experience when I was young pushed me as a scholar and later professor at Ohio State University to research science-based strategies to find a sense of meaning and purpose in life. After nearly a decade of research, I want to present my findings not only to academics, but to a broad audience through writing "Find Your Purpose Using Science!" This workbook includes:

  • an overview of the latest research about meaning and purpose from a variety of fields, such as psychology and cognitive science
  • research-based exercises and worksheets to guide you through the process of building a personal sense of purpose
  • stories about people who have used these tools to gain a deeper sense of purpose and how it impacted their lives.

I am currently running a crowdfunding campaign to support the costs of publishing the book, and more about the book can be found on the crowdfunding campaign page, including a link to the first couple of chapters and the opportunity to support the book’s publication. All contributions in support of the book publication are tax deductible, since they will be going to Intentional Insights, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is helping fund the book’s publication. I am the volunteer President and a Co-Founder of Intentional Insights, and will donate 50% of the profit from the workbook to InIn. This workbook is part of our broader offerings that empower people to refine and reach their goals by providing research-based content to help improve thinking, feeling, and behavior patterns. Our content, especially on meaning and purpose, was recently featured in the mainstream media.

I hope you will support the publication of this book through contributing to the crowdfunding campaign and sharing about the campaign with your friends! With your help, we will release science-based strategies for finding meaning and purpose from the Ivory Tower of complex academic articles to be widely accessible for a broad public. I hope our work will help you and others find your purpose using science!
