Our minds are wired to make irrational decisions and commit a wide variety of thinking errors, called cognitive biases by scholars. Yet recent research has uncovered a wide variety of debiasing strategies that we can use in daily life to gain more intentional thinking, feeling, and behavior patterns and take charge over our lives. Dr. Hal Arkes, a world expert in debiasing research, Emeritus Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University, and Intentional Insights Advisory Board member, boils down the scientific literature on debiasing into four broad strategies described in this brief video.
